Ahora que el socialismo parece ponerse de moda nuevamente les comparto esta gran canción de una de las mejoras bandas de rock progresivo de la historia.

Now that socialism seems to be fashionable again I´d like to share with you this great song from one of the best progressive rock bands in history.

Como a cualquiera que fue adolescente en los 80's me gusta el "Rock" de la época. Una de mis bandas favoritas, aunque tal vez no muy conocida, es "Queensryche", quízá porque su música es bastante más compleja que la de los grupos más "comerciales" de esos tiempos. No solo tenían una "musicalidad" más elaborada sino que también sus letras eran más profundas. Esta es una versión en vivo de la canción que actualmente utilizo en la introducción del programa "Contravía" que conduzco los jueves por la tarde: REVOLUTION CALLING. As would anyone who grew up as a teenager in the 80´s, I like its "Rock". One of my favorite bands from that time is "Queensryche", though lesser known, perhaps because their music is more complex than that of those more "mainstream" bands. Not only did they have a more elaborate musicianship, their lyrics also bore a more profound message. Hoy estuve en el programa de radio "Todo a Pulmón" con mi amiga Marta Yolanda Díaz Durán. En el entretiempo hablábamos de su nuevo espacio llamado "Ecléctico" y de otra de mis pasiones que es la música, particularmente la guitarra. Le comenté acerca de "Rush" un grupo Canadiense con música progresiva muy buena que además a menudo defiende la libertad individual en sus canciones. I was on a radio program called "Todo a Pulmón" today with my friend Marta Yolanda Díaz Durán. During breaks we would talk about her new show called "Ecléctico" and about music in general, something which I´m passionate about, particularly playing guitar. I mentioned to her the Canadian band "Rush", whose progressive music is not only very good, but also constantly defends individual freedom in their lyrics.
